Former George Peppard house in Hollywood retains classy, classic air

A Craftsman-style home once owned by George Peppard, the debonair leading man who famously paired with Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and went on to “The A-Team” fame, has come on the market in Hollywood at $2.699 million.

Restored and renovated, the 1920s white Greek Revival-influenced house is set on a corner lot and has a wide sitting porch with columns that faces the street. Two other covered porches extend the 2,500 square feet of living space outdoors.

French doors, hardwood floors and a wood-burning fireplace are among interior features. An open plan kitchen/family room, a den and two bedrooms are in the main house. The guesthouse has another bedroom for a total of three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

There’s a swimming pool in the backyard.

Peppard, who died in 1994 at 65, made a name for himself in films and on television. He starred in such 1960s films “How the West Was Won” and “The Carpetbaggers,” the private-eye series “Banacek” in the 1970s and the enduring 1980s commando show “The A-Team.”

Jeff Kohl of the Agency is the listing agent.
