Workers in some professions don’t just deal with boredom or stress. Every year, thousands of workers die from mishaps while on the job. A recent report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed a preliminary count of 4,383 work-related fatalities in 2012, a slight drop from the 4,693 deaths in 2011.
